To ensure you are eligible for the program, please review the Admission Requirements if you have not yet done so.

We will accept applications on a year-round basis. However, the following deadlines need to be adhered to in order to complete both our internal review process and UBC’s registration process.
To begin in January 2018: Monday, November 26th, 2017
To enroll in January 2018 courses: Monday, December 3rd, 2017
Please send us the following:
A copy of your official transcripts (not required for stand-alone course applications).
These records must be received in official university envelopes, sealed and endorsed by the issuing institution. Please submit copies from each college and/or university you attended (or are currently enrolled). If these are not in English or French, please provide an official translation. If this requires opening a transcript, please order an extra one for yourself for this purpose. The transcripts received at UBC must be sealed by the issuing institution.

Your resume should show (i) relevant experience and (ii) formal and/or continuing education not shown on your transcript(s).
Cover letter with a Statement of Intent.
Should be no longer than 500 words. Include your reasons for pursuing the program and highlight any of your experiences related to global surgical care.
English Language test results (if required).
Students must meet UBC Graduate Studies’ English proficiency requirements. Ask the testing center to send your results directly to us.
Transcripts must be mailed directly to the Branch office at the address below. Application form, resume, and cover letter may be mailed or emailed.
