Student Spotlight: Emma Robertson

Emma Robertson is a Perioperative Registered Nurse currently working at Toronto Western Hospital in Toronto, ON. She recently had a job transition and is learning new things in her career, as well as a student in her second year in the Master of Global Surgical Care. Emma has experience working with interdisciplinary medical teams in Kenya, Indonesia and Rwanda and recently completed training for the Red Cross Emergency Response Unit (ERU).

Student Spotlight: Valérie Courval

Dr. Valérie Courval is currently a general surgeon specializing in trauma, acute care and hernia surgery located in Quebec City at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Québec, Laval University.

Dr. Courval has completed fellowships in Trauma and Acute Care surgery at Vancouver General Hospital, UBC and abdominal wall reconstruction at North York General Hospital, Toronto. She is currently in her first year in the Master of Global Surgical Care program.
